Rahim Perez-Anderson (he/him) is a lens-based Black-Canadian artist, who lives and works in Toronto, Ontario. His work is informed by his lived experiences, more often shared experiences,  within and around topics of cultural identity, race, and existence. Rahim’s work looks to explore frameworks prevalent in his upbringing and how they’ve influenced the way he makes sense of the world. His work often revolves around themes of human connection, intimacy, notions of home, and the presence of Blackness. He approaches his work with hopes of sharing his lived experiences in ways that can be engaged with, prompting individuals to reflect on how they move through the world.

He will be preparing to exhibit his undergraduate thesis at Maximum Exposure 29 in April 2024. He is currently an undergraduate student in the Photography Media Arts program (BFA) at Toronto Metropolitan University's School of Image Arts.
